Earlier this month, Gov. Brian Kemp appointed Kelly Loeffler — an anti-choice businesswoman with close ties to the financial services industry — to Georgia’s open Senate seat.

This is nothing but a brazen attempt to gain support from suburban white women, but we don’t think Georgia’s women will be fooled. They’ll see Kelly Loeffler for who she is, and they won’t be impressed.

We can’t stand by and watch as the GOP tries to take cover behind female figureheads like Kelly Loeffler, Lynne Homrich, and Renee Unterman. They may be women, but their views about reproductive rights and other key issues are extremely harmful to women here in Georgia and throughout the country.
