Amazing news for animals!

I am so overjoyed to share this news with you! On Wednesday the bill to ban wild animals in travelling circuses in England was passed by Parliament! It is now officially law and will come into force in January 2020!

As of January next year, wild animals will no longer be exploited under the big top. No longer forced to perform pointless tricks to entertain crowds. No longer forced to travel from town to town as part of a circus.
I can't quite believe it!
Thank you for everything you have done to make this happen! It has been SUCH a long time coming and it's amazing to see the results of your hard work.
But we still have work to do before the UK is completely free of animal circuses.

Right now, we have a really great chance to secure a ban in Wales too! The Welsh Assembly are in the process of developing similar legislation. We have been asked to submit evidence and feedback on their draft bill, the crucial next step to securing a solid law which protects animals.
And we need to keep up the fight to free domestic animals from circuses too - they can't be left behind!
