John,

This week has been one of national, historic importance.

On Sunday, I’m excited to be joining WFP’s National Director, Maurice Mitchell, for an in-depth, one-on-one conversation on the final WFP Assembly of the year; we’ll look back at the events of this week and look ahead to 2020 — and I hope that you’ll be able to join us too.

RSVP now to join me on the next WFP Assembly, this Sunday, December 22 at 8pm ET/5pm PT. All you need to join this virtual meeting is a phone or a computer.

On Wednesday, I joined my fellow Democrats in voting to impeach the occupant in the White House. In doing so, we took a stand against his corruption and sent a message that we, as a nation, will not tolerate his deep corruption and disdain for the rule of law.

America is a story of ordinary people confronting abuses of power with the steadfast pursuit of justice. Throughout our history, the oppressed have been relegated to the margins by the powerful, and each time we have fought back.

But make no mistake: until we address the structural, fundamental issues that have set up our system to be rigged for those at the top, we will continue to repeat the patterns that have brought us to today.

Working Families Party members nationwide know, as I do, that this fight, this struggle, needs to be about restoring power to those who’ve been left behind, and centering those who’ve never had access to it in the first place. That’s one reason why I was so honored to be one of WFP’s first Congressional endorsements for 2020.

On Sunday’s WFP Assembly, I’m looking forward to talking with Maurice about the events of this week, as well as the People’s #JusticeGuarantee, my bold, people-centered vision for decarceration and justice in America, and other topics.

RSVP here to join me this Sunday, December 22 for the WFP Assembly — WFP’s monthly gathering — and lets renew our commitment to the movement, and to each other.

I look forward to seeing you this Sunday,

Ayanna Pressley
U. S. Representative, MA-7
