COP27 is taking place in the midst of soaring energy and food prices and climate disasters – such as scorching heat waves, roaring wildfires and epic floods – which are imposing a terrible toll on people around the world. These interlinked crises underscore the urgent need for countries to work together at COP27 and help tackle the consequences from rising global temperatures that are falling disproportionately on developing countries and ensure affordable, clean energy for all.

On Thursday October 6, join the Allied for Climate Transformation (ACT2025) consortium

During the event, ACT2025 partners will offer a united vision for success at COP27, including addressing loss and damage, scaling up support for adaptation action, strengthening climate targets and assuring climate finance promises will be met.

The event will be hosted in English with simultaneous interpretation in Spanish and French.

Carlos Lopes, Professor, Nelson Mandela School, University of Cape Town; African Union High Representative for Partnerships with Europe; Former Executive Secretary, Economic Commission for Africa

Maria Laura Rojas Vallejo, Executive Director, Transforma, Colombia

Mark Bynoe, Assistant Executive Director, Caribbean Community Climate Change Centre, Belize
