Team, it’s Wes Moore here, the Democratic nominee for Maryland Governor.
In a minute, I’ve got to ask if you can split a contribution between Governor Kathy Hochul’s campaign and mine. But before I do, let me explain why your support is crucial in this moment.
It’s undeniable that there’s a lot of political division in our country right now, and a lot to be concerned about in this moment. But I know if we come together, regardless of party or background, we have a lot to be hopeful about.
Right now, Kathy and I are running in races that will decide the future of our states and, ultimately, the kind of country we live in.
But our extreme opponents are actively working to take us in the wrong direction. If they win governorships in states like Maryland and New York, there’s no telling the damage they’ll do.
This election is our opportunity to ensure we keep moving forward, not backward. I am committed to serving and lifting up everyone — regardless of where they live, what party they belong to, or what their background is — and addressing the key issues facing our communities, like protecting reproductive choice, stopping gun violence, and giving our kids a world-class public education.
So that’s what’s at stake this November. We’ve got work to do, and we aren’t taking our opponents lightly for even a minute. We’ve got more voters to talk to about our message, and our campaigns are going to have to grow.
