We're trending in the right direction - last month, Cook Political Report moved my race from "LIKELY DEMOCRAT" to "LEAN DEMOCRAT." You might be wondering what exactly that means, so please allow me a moment to explain the way I understand the concept. While my opponent is currently a slight favorite to win the seat, if the election were held today, the race is very competitive. In other words, despite Oregon Democrats making this district much more Democrat friendly in the redistricting process – they made it more favorable to Democrats by 9 more points than it was during the 2020 race – we're still running neck and neck with my career politician opponent.  Forecasts can change often, so now is the moment to act. I'm working diligently to get this race put into the "tossup" category, which is exactly where we want to be. Earning a tossup rating from the Cook Political Report would open up new sources of funding not only from major donors across the country, but from the Republican National Committee, the National Republican Congressional Committee and others.
