Hi John,
Last week I was so proud to represent Wisconsin Conservation Voters at a White House event celebrating the Inflation Reduction Act—the largest investment in climate action in U.S. history.
This achievement would not have been possible without people like you. We worked together—as members, coalition partners, staff, board, local elected officials, climate activists—and we WON!
Will you join with us now and become a member of Wisconsin Conservation Voters? A monthly gift of $5 or $10 makes a big impact for keeping our organizing work going strong. |
It was a great day at the White House, where we celebrated with President Biden, Vice President Harris and our colleagues from across the country and had a chance to thank our elected leaders who made sure this became law – people like Sen. Tammy Baldwin and Reps. Gwen Moore, Mark Pocan, and Ron Kind.
The Inflation Reduction Act will allow Wisconsin to move forward on the transition to clean energy despite the frustrating inaction of the Wisconsin legislature on the urgent issue of climate change. By 2030, it will help cut climate pollution by 40%, create up to 1.5 million jobs, and help prevent up to 3,900 premature deaths to pollution-linked causes. It’s not perfect, but it is a giant step forward in tackling climate change.
We are starting to see progress. Please become a member today, and help us keep fighting for our children’s and grandchildren’s future. |
