Did you see what Bernie Sanders said about Barbara during last night's presidential debate?

Bernie admitted that his vote to authorize the invasion of Afghanistan in 2001 was a mistake. And he said only one person got that decision right: Barbara.

"Well, only one person, my good friend, Barbara Lee, was right on that issue. She was the only person in the House to vote against the war in Afghanistan. She was right. I was wrong. So was everybody else in the House."

Bernie's words are a testament to the fact that Barbara has been a fearless progressive leader for decades. South Bend Mayor Pete Buttigieg also seconded his praise for Barbara's willingness to stand up and do what's right -- even when it was unpopular at the time.

Barbara is one of the most progressive leaders in the House. She is the only woman of color in Congressional leadership. And it's clear we need her voice now more than ever.
