In this third episode we hear from Marino, a farm worker in North Carolina. He tells us, “If all types of work here in the United States received a fair wage, we would all benefit.”

Some crops are harder than others, and there are good days and bad days with every harvest. In particular, “Tobacco is very hard work, because of the chemicals that they put on the tobacco. It’s really bad for you to be absorbing those chemicals.” That’s why, Marino explains, “The most important thing we can do is get organized and demand fair work and fair pay for all of us who have low-paying jobs.”

En este tercer episodio escuchamos a Marino, un trabajador agrícola en Carolina del Norte. Sabiamente comparte: “A todo tipo de trabajo aquí en los Estados Unidos se les da un precio justo, todos nos beneficiamos”.



Algunas cosechas son más difíciles que otras, y hay días buenos y días malos con cada cosecha. En particular, “El tabaco es un trabajo muy pesado por los químicos también le ponen al tabaco. Eso es malísimo para uno, andar absorbiendo esos químicos”. Por eso, explica Marino, “lo importante es eso, organizarse y exigir para que sea un trabajo justo o un pago justo para todos aquellos que tienen esos tipos de trabajo”.
