Just recently, we celebrated our long-awaited victory for the Historic Communities of the 710. The National Trust, along with many of you, has been fighting this battle against a freeway tunnel for over 30 years!
Thanks to a strong, deeply committed, and well-organized coalition of local, professional, public, and passionate advocates, we’ve finally eliminated the threat of a 5-mile freeway and tunnel in and around Pasadena that would have threatened hundreds of historic homes, cost billions of dollars, and done nothing to improve local mobility or air quality.
We are deeply grateful for so many who have stood up for preservation even when victory seemed impossible!
