Hi friend,

We’re outside BlackRocks office in central London to demand the financial giant cancel Zambia’s debts.

Since launching our campaign over 11,000 of us have added our voices in solidarity with campaigners in Zambia.

With negotiations hanging in the balance we decided it was time to pay BlackRock, one of Zambia’s biggest lenders, a visit.

Zambia spends three times more on debt payments than it does on healthcare. Despite this, calls for debt cancellation have been ignored.

It’s been over 18 months since the Zambian government was forced into default.

And still, the Zambian people are left waiting.

That is why we have decided to pay BlackRock a visit, to let them know that we won’t back down until they #CancelTheDebt

Standing in solidarity with Zambian campaigners, we call on BlackRock to #CancelTheDebt once and for all. Will you help put pressure on BlackRock by sharing the action on social media or giving them a call?

If the debt is cancelled, Zambia can focus on supporting vital services like healthcare or education, and dealing with the economic and climate crises. But that will only happen if we take action together.
