As I prepare for next week's 1/6 Committee hearing, I want to take some time this week to look ahead with you toward the future and the big picture.

The threats our democracy faces are bigger than Donald Trump, and they didn't originate with him, either. While accountability is incredibly important, it would be naive to think its a cure-all.  We have to address the systemic issues that are driving division, keeping Republicans and Democrats from working together, and preventing problems from being solved.

That's where American innovation comes in. Americans haven't met a problem we can't solve -- we just don't always have politicians with the will to do it.  And that's why I'd like you to join me to explore exciting innovations that could bring sanity to our politics, end negative campaigns, change the incentive structure for our elected officials, and lead to reasonable people of goodwill representing us to actually solve the problems that have persisted for far too long.  You won't want to miss this!
