When she was a younger, she fought for and won domestic partnership rights for students and faculty at the university she attended for graduate school.

At Oregon Food Bank, Tina worked to reduce hunger in the state by advocating for policies such as a strong minimum wage, housing assistance, and access to health insurance. Her experience working at nonprofits for Oregon’s most vulnerable led her to serve in the Oregon Legislature.

She dedicated her time as the first lesbian Speaker of the House in the United States to fight for Oregonians. As Speaker, she expanded economic security for more families and took action on climate change, navigating a complex and incredibly difficult political landscape.

And now she’s running to be the next governor of Oregon – so she can put her skills and perseverance to the task of solving Oregon’s most pressing problems.
