It's not just our elected officials in Cook County or Springfield that are making our communities less safe, Sean Casten and Joe Biden have only made things worse from Washington.
Between the two of them, they've
- Voted against banning fentanyl
- Opened our borders and violated our immigration laws
- Abandoned our military members and citizens in Afghanistan
- Supported legislation more dangerous for our police officers than the SAFE-T Act
This isn't right, and I will not give in when residents don't feel safe. Both as Mayor and in Congress, keeping our communities safe and our neighborhoods secure is my number one priority.
