Team, today is National Voter Registration Day!
With less than 50 days until Election Day, time is running out – and in California, ballots will be mailed out to every registered voter. But even now, not everyone eligible is registered to vote, and if you’re registered at an old address, it might cause delays with your ballot.
So right now, take a minute and check your voter registration to make sure that it’s up to date.
Republicans are counting on folks staying home this year and not exercising their right to participate in our democracy. They’ve worked hard to suppress voting rights and put barriers in the paths of those looking to make their voices heard.
I firmly believe that every eligible voter should be able to cast a ballot, easily and quickly. I’ve fought for voting rights because when our government reflects the will of all, it makes us stronger as a state and as a country.
Here in California, you can register or check your existing voter registration online right now, and it’s quick and simple. If you’re registering or re-registering within 15 days of Election Day – starting October 24 – you can do so in person, but why wait!
