RSVP for East Bay DSA's first Canvass for the Berkeley Right to Housing Slate for Rent Board and Berkeley Vacancy Tax this Sunday, September 25 at 2PM here <[link removed]>.

Join East Bay DSA in talking to neighbors and fighting capitalist cronies and their machine politicians trying to take over the Berkeley Rent Board!

Last weekend, we endorsed the Right to Housing Slate for the Berkeley Rent Board - Negeene Mosaed, Soli Alpert, Ida Martinac, Nathan Mizell, and Vanessa Danielle Marrero - and the Berkeley vacancy tax (Measure M). But multiple anti-tenant candidates have entered the race to try and stop the campaign to expand rent control and other tenants’ rights.

It's up to us to make sure they don't succeed and protect the only 100%-DSA endorsed body in the country! That means talking to our neighbors, not just about electing the Right to Housing Slate, and not just about our working-class agenda to expand rent control, build social housing, and tax the rich, but also about the movement it will take to win the Berkeley we deserve.

To join the movement, come to our first big door-to-door canvass this Sunday, September 25 at 2PM.  We'll meet at Grassroots House at 2022 Blake Street (just off of Shattuck). You canRSVP here <[link removed]> to help us make sure we have enough canvassing supplies for everyone.

P.S.  Make sure to wear comfortable shoes and clothing and bring water. We also ask that you bring a mask so that all Berkeley residents we canvass feel comfortable.
