Please join us Saturday, Oct. 1 from 6-8 p.m. at Hideaway Cafe in Winchester (141 S. Loudoun Street) as we raise money to provide full-ride scholarships for the Democratic women who will be training in our 2022-2023 Signature Program!
When I attended the 2017 Emerge Virginia bootcamp, I was unemployed, uninsured and driving a $324 '92 Dodge Shadow. Fortunately, some kind donors covered full-ride scholarships for my entire class and eight of us ended up flipping seats Red to Blue that fall. That's the example I want to lead with as the new executive director of Emerge Virginia so finances aren't a barrier to anyone willing to run, win and serve.
So please join us in person Oct. 1 in Winchester if you can. If you can't, you can still pitch in to help!
By the end of this month, we'll also have selected our cohort for the next Signature Program, which runs from October 2022 - March 2023. Details about that and an application link if you know any Democratic women planning to run for office here in Virginia in 2023 are on the EVA homepage.
