Dear John,

The global climate negotiations in Madrid known as COP25 have come to an end, and while the outcome is disappointing, it isn’t all doom and gloom. Here are three takeaways that give us hope.
  1. As governments around the world failed to come reach agreement on key issues, influential investors stepped up.

  2. After the U.S. failed to show leadership on a federal level, companies and others banded together at U.S. Climate Action Center to demonstrate their commitment to climate action.

  3. Public pressure for climate action has never been stronger.

In the lead up to COP26 in Glasgow next year, we’ll be working throughout 2020 to spur increased government and private sector ambition to meet the goals of the Paris Agreement.
Onward!
