North Texas Giving Day
The George W. Bush Presidential Center is proud to participate in the Communities Foundation of Texas’ NTX Giving Day on Thursday, September 22, 2022, alongside many nonprofits doing important work in North Texas. This 18-hour online giving event is designed to empower every person to give back in one easy-to-use-platform. We hope you choose to support the Bush Center – or one of the many other notable organizations in North Texas.

This NTX Giving Day, we are sharing a few of the most memorable moments from the past year at the Bush Center as we work to ensure opportunity for all, strengthen our democracy, and advance free societies.

Ensuring Opportunity
Education and Workforce Pipeline Tool
The Education team developed a nationwide dashboard of education and workforce metrics that showcases states making noteworthy improvements in creating access to opportunity and allows education leaders to easily compare data.

Blueprint for Opportunity
Cullum Clark, Director of the Bush Institute-SMU Economic Growth Initiative, explores economic mobility in two reports: The Evolving Geography of Opportunity: Leading Cities of the Past, Present, and Future, and The New Geography of Opportunity: Case Studies from a Changing Economic Landscape. Strengthening Our Democracy

Advancing Free Societies
Response to the war in Ukraine
David J. Kramer, the Bradford M. Freeman Managing Director of Global Policy at the Bush Institute, has provided commentary and expertise on how the U.S. and international community should respond to Russia and help Ukraine to victory.

Additionally, the spring edition of The Catalyst: A Journal of Ideas from the Bush Institute dove deeper into the struggles between liberal democracies and authoritarian regimes. See the Bush Institute's updates on Ukraine.

Lessons learned from PEPFAR's sucess
