Education and Workforce Pipeline ToolThe Education team developed a nationwide dashboard of education and workforce metrics that showcases states making noteworthy improvements in creating access to opportunity and allows education leaders to easily compare data. Blueprint for OpportunityCullum Clark, Director of the Bush Institute-SMU Economic Growth Initiative, explores economic mobility in two reports: The Evolving Geography of Opportunity: Leading Cities of the Past, Present, and Future, and The New Geography of Opportunity: Case Studies from a Changing Economic Landscape. The papers focus on strengthening America’s cities in their vital role as engines of upward mobility. Check-InA resource designed to connect veterans and their families with high-quality, compassionate care for mental and brain health, Check-In became available in all 50 states and Puerto Rico. To date, over 800 people have been connected to Check-In.

The Bush Center hosted the fifth annual Forum on Leadership in April 2022. Featured conversations included a keynote with James Mattis, the 26th U.S. Secretary of Defense, as well as a discussion with Dr. Deborah Birx, Senior Fellow at the Bush Institute and former White House Coronavirus Response Coordinator; and Dr. Stephen Hahn, Harbinger Health CEO, and sessions with other global leaders.
