John,
First: Republican politicians in Iowa did everything in their power to limit access to voting rights – from Kim Reynolds shortening voting hours on Election Day to Senate Republicans imposing a slew of new barriers to voting.
Then: The Iowa Democrats recruited strong candidates across the state who are committed to defending our most basic democratic principle: the right to vote.
Now: We have less than two months until election day! Organizing now is how we win in November — that includes registering more voters, identifying the voters who need help voting by mail, finding and persuading swing voters, and building our volunteer teams.
Today is National Voter Registration Day – so to celebrate, we set a goal of having 100 Iowans sign up by the end of the day to text their friends and family to make sure they’re registered to vote.
Every registered voter gets us closer to holding and flipping state senate seats all across Iowa. Will you sign up to volunteer and help us register more voters?
