Hi Friend,
218 million women in developing countries want to avoid pregnancy, but aren't using modern contraceptive methods. Tackling this unmet need for family planning is a critical challenge—meeting it would pay dividends in empowering women and girls and slowing global population growth. That’s why we're commemorating World Contraception Day with a presentation by Asonele Kotu, founder of FemConnect, [[link removed]] which works to improve access to these essential services to people in sub-Saharan Africa.
Asonele’s frustrations with disparities in health services led her to found FemConnect, a digital platform that provides convenient and flexible access to a variety of sexual and reproductive health services, low-cost or free sanitary products, and gender-based violence support.
We invite you to join us to learn more about Asonele’s work during her presentation, Meeting Feminine Health Needs in Sub-Saharan Africa, on Thursday, September 29th, at 2pm EDT/11am PDT.
