We are thrilled to share that this morning, Congress’ Ways & Means Committee unveiled its proposed reauthorization package for the federal Maternal, Infant and Early Childhood Home Visiting (MIECHV) program – which provides access to critical home visiting supports to more than 140,000 parents and children in 1,054 counties across the country.
With the program’s reauthorization deadline of September 30 looming, there is no more pivotal time than now to help make the Jackie Walorski Maternal and Child Home Visiting Reauthorization Act a reality.

This latest package recognizes home visiting’s impact on strengthening communities and promoting positive parent-child relationships, and it responds to the requests of families, programs and advocates in a thoughtful and productive manner. Highlights include increased funding for states (after more than a decade of level-funding), increased and allocated funding for tribal populations and set-aside funding for workforce supports and retention and research.
