I’ve been on the road lately. A few days ago, I traveled to Cleveland Heights, Ohio to speak with some amazing volunteers who were getting ready to knock on doors for Tim Ryan’s Senate campaign. In just a moment, I’m going to ask you to split a contribution between our campaigns, but first let me fill you in on what Tim and his campaign are up against, and what they’re doing to win this race.

I spent some time with the man himself:

I knew I had to come to Ohio because this race could very well be the deciding factor in which party controls the Senate after November. And it’s not just me saying that either. Mitch McConnell’s Super PAC is putting $28 million into TV ads for Tim’s opponent, and major news outlets including NPR and The Hill have listed this race as one that could determine the majority.

Tim is running against a Trump-endorsed extremist, JD Vance, who’s trying to use his billionaire backers to buy his way into the Senate.

Tim, on the other hand, has represented Ohioans for years as a Member of Congress and has the experience, empathy, and energy to win this race and make a real difference in the Senate.

I know Tim has what it takes to win this race. But his opponent has McConnell’s Super PAC and dark money groups bankrolling his campaign, so we need all hands on deck to stop McConnell from buying yet another seat in the United States Senate.

Tim’s volunteers are knocking on doors, making phone calls, and talking to their neighbors. Your contributions of $10 or more support their efforts and mine to stay on the road rallying support for our Democratic candidates and their volunteer networks across the country. We really need everyone to pitch in to win battleground races like this one.
