Tell Congress — Abolish the Electoral College

In their efforts to protect Donald Trump, Republicans have cycled through an endless supply of excuses, red herrings, straw men and straight-up lies.
Among the most cynical is their objection to holding "a democratically elected president" accountable to the law.
First: no one is above the law.
Second: Donald Trump's victory is a product of the archaic and inherently anti-democratic Electoral College.
Add your name — tell Congress to abolish the Electoral College.
Under the Electoral College system, a presidential candidate could win an election with less than 25% of the popular vote.
That may be unlikely. It's also compelling evidence that the Electoral College is a fatally flawed idea.
Our elections rest on a good-faith assumption that our leaders will seek the support of as many people as possible. But, by making everyones' vote count differently, the Electoral College system actually incentivizes courting people not for who they are, but for where they live.
That's not democracy. That's chess. With voters as the pawns.
In a democracy, every voice has value, and every vote deserves not just to be counted, but to count: One person, one vote.
It doesn't need to be any more complicated than that.
Add your name to take back our democracy. Tell Congress: Abolish the Electoral College, now!
