Friend, this has been a MASSIVE year for climate action in California: A $54 billion climate budget. The state’s most significant bill addressing plastic pollution ever (SB 54). A program that makes solar more accessible and affordable (AB 2316). A commitment by the state to reach carbon neutrality (AB 1279). And so much more. I’m floored! After three years of inaction, California has made a complete 180 to regain its global climate leadership and make enormous strides to protect our future. I’ll be completely honest with you, friend: These climate wins would NOT have happened without the hard work of advocacy organizations like EnviroVoters. For instance, EnviroVoters’ leaders were on the phone with state leaders to get SB 54 over the finish line. And we ran a months-long, multifaceted campaign to secure that climate courage budget. We would NOT have delivered these historic climate victories without the financial support of members like you, friend. Can you make a gift today to fund even more climate history? |

Last year, when the Legislature ended its session for the third year in a row without passing meaningful climate legislation, EnviroVoters went into full accountability mode. We shifted the narrative. We emphasized that our leaders in Sacramento had not been leading on climate. We highlighted the toxic influence of climate delayers. To our members. To the press. To the whole state. And, together with environmental and environmental justice groups, we made sure that 2022 would not be another repeat. We can only do all these things because we can fund them. EnviroVoters was able to nearly double our staff, fill crucial positions, and run critical advocacy and accountability campaigns in the past year. We have the relationships, and we have the influence. YOU give us the resources to effect change at a global level. Please, will you make a contribution today to allow EnviroVoters to continue to fight for — and achieve — massive climate wins? Thank you for playing a part in this historic year for climate action. |
