Hey folks, in case you missed it — Donald Trump is scheduled to make another appearance in North Carolina this week to rally his right-wing base. 

This is his third visit this election cycle, and honestly, I’m not surprised. Trump knows that North Carolina has the power to decide the midterms this year — that’s why he’s coming. He won our state by just 1.3% in 2020, and he’s doing everything he can to elect extreme GOP candidates up and down the ballot. 

And look, I don’t know exactly what Trump will say at this rally. If I had to guess, he’ll be supporting far-right candidates like Ted Budd and Bo Hines, spreading misinformation about the 2020 election, and leveling attacks against Democrats here in North Carolina. 

But here’s what I want to make clear: While the MAGA Republicans in North Carolina continue to solicit Trump’s help and only care about his opinion, the one that matters to me is yours.
