Last night, the elections analysts at FiveThirtyEight updated their forecast in Illinois’ 17th District. They now predict that Eric is “slightly favored” to win this race! According to their model, his chances of coming out on top stand well above 50%.
About a month ago, FiveThirtyEight had our race as an exact 50-50 tossup, so this is actually a major shift in our favor. It’s clear that momentum is building for Eric’s candidacy, but in a swing district like IL-17, things can change quickly in either direction.
