JOHN, when Max was serving in the Army, I got one of the worst calls a military mother could imagine. He was injured on the battlefield by an IED – an explosive device that has the power to take out large vehicles like the one he was riding in.

As a mother, I immediately wanted my son home. But, all Max was concerned about was getting back to his unit and continuing to protect our country. I was nervous at first but I knew that Max wouldn’t be himself if he wasn’t staying in the fight and sticking by his guys.

Being in a television ad was a new experience for me, but I was happy to do it for my son. So please, will you find a moment to watch this ad and chip in to help his campaign keep it running on TV?

Words can’t describe how proud I am of Max for running for Congress and staying true to his values.

When he was first elected to Congress back in 2018, he was the only Purple Heart recipient among every Democratic representative. As his mother, you can bet that I took every chance I got to watch him speak on the floor of the House! I absolutely loved it.

And while I am biased, being his mother wasn’t the only reason I loved seeing him serve in Congress. I could see in him a genuine desire to do good and to help his district. I was excited to know that New Yorkers had someone with that kind of drive fighting for them in Washington.

He’s worked with Democrats and Republicans alike to accomplish big-picture legislation that New York City could be proud of. Like when he secured healthcare for our 9/11 first responders. You’ve heard it from his wife, Leigh, and I agree – that’s just the type of person that Max is.

I’m proud of Max and equally proud of the campaign he has built in NY-11. I’d be deeply appreciative if you help him win this race and keep his television ads running by chipping in however much you can.
