John, it's Alex, Trudy's campaign manager. As the election gets closer, the weather here in Missouri is getting cooler, and I'm once again reminded of how much I love fall.

All year long, I wait for the best time of year: sweater weather, pumpkin carving, gorgeous foliage that makes even your morning commute a treat, the indescribable rush of knowing that the election is just around the corner, and yes, cliche as it may be, pumpkin spice latte season!

I just picked up my first PSL of the season (it was delicious as always), and it got me thinking. I know that so many of us will be buying PSLs in the months ahead – campaign staffers, especially. We may not think too much about the $5.95 we're paying as we swipe our cards. But that $5.95 could make all the difference to a grassroots campaign like ours.

If everyone reading this email took the $5.95 that they'd spend on a (Iet's be honest, overpriced) coffee and put that money toward this team, we would raise hundreds of thousands of dollars to flip this seat blue. And with Eric Schmitt's dark money megadonors funneling millions into this race, we're counting on that type of massive grassroots support to defeat him.

So that's exactly what I'm asking you to do today: Please, if you can spare it, will you pitch in $5.95 or more to bring compassion to Washington, flip this seat blue, and protect our Senate majority this fall?

As the leaves turn orange and red this fall, let's work together to turn Missouri blue!
