Friends,
There is so much on the line this November — including a safer future for our country. That’s why I’m proud to stand with candidates from coast to coast who are fighting hard to protect our communities from gun violence, including Jeff Jackson in North Carolina’s 14th District.
As a state Senator, Jeff proposed legislation to implement universal background checks and extreme risk protection orders. He supports prohibiting the sale of bump stocks and similar devices that put people’s lives at risk. He’s also proposed legislation to provide funding for public safety improvements and additional mental health support professionals. These are all common-sense steps that would make our communities safer.
Now, Jeff is running for Congress against an assault weapons manufacturer. The contrast in this race couldn’t be any clearer.
So today, I’m asking you to join me in supporting Jeff’s campaign. The people of NC-14 deserve a representative who will prioritize their safety — and that’s Jeff. If you can, pitch in a few dollars to help his campaign in these final weeks: [[link removed]]

Congress recently passed the first significant piece of gun safety legislation in almost three decades, but we can — and must — do more to challenge the gun lobby and protect our communities from gun violence. To do that, we need to elect leaders like Jeff who will keep fighting for change.
Thank you for being part of this work.
With courage,
Gabby Giffords
