Dear Friend,
We are close to securing increased federal arts funding for FY23, but we still need your help to ensure it becomes a reality.
In July, the U.S. House of Representatives approved $207 million in FY23 funding for the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) and the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH). Now, we need the U.S. Senate to approve this funding level, so it can go to the President’s desk and become a reality.
Contact your Senators today and ask them to support FY23 funding for the NEA and NEH at $207 million each.
Again, we must remind the Senate of the economic and cultural benefits that the NEA and NEH provide by supporting good-paying, family-supporting jobs in every state. Additionally, increased federal arts funding is crucial to building more inclusive arts, entertainment, and media industries, as the NEA and NEH create career pathways for a diverse array of creative professionals.
Taking action today and securing the Senate’s support for $207 million in FY23 funding helps get us closer to our ultimate goal of restoring the NEA and NEH to a full funding level of $331 million, or $1 per capita.
Tell your Senators to support $207 million for the NEA and NEH!
In Solidarity,
Ray Hair
