John, let's cut to the chase: We need to be ready to vote like
lives depend on it, because they do.

Our rights, our safety, and our freedoms are on the ballot this November,
and the contrast couldn't be clearer: While one side is fighting to pass
laws proven to save lives, the other side is working to protect the
profits of the gun industry with no regard for public safety.

This National Voter Registration Day, we need to make sure we're ready to
cast our ballots for Gun Sense Candidates and do everything we can to show
up as a movement. [ [link removed] ]Register to vote or confirm your voter

When I started Moms Demand Action nearly ten years ago, gun safety was a
third-rail political issue. Now, elected representatives from both sides
of the aisle are beginning to understand that working to address our
nation's gun violence epidemic isn't just good policy; it's good politics.

That change was incremental and took time. But by organizing and refusing
to give up, we've gotten to where we are today.

This fall, we need that energy—especially from women and mothers.

Women make up the majority of the voting population and have the power to
decide elections. We can push back on the dangerous extremism that is
putting our communities at risk, and elect candidates who will protect
women's rights and lives.

I know from experience that when women are mad, we vote.

And our movement has proven time and again that there's nothing more
powerful than an army of angry women.

With 110 people killed by gun violence every day, and more than 200
wounded, we have so much work left to do. I know together, we can demand
action and elect leaders who save lives. This November, we can take the
next step towards a future free from gun violence.

Thank you for being a voter.
