When I ran for State Senate for the very first time, I lost, but I didn’t give up. I ran again and won. Serving the people of New Hampshire as State Senator, and then as Governor, is the honor of a lifetime.

When I decided to run for the U.S. Senate, I knew it wouldn’t be easy, but I also knew I could make an impact for Granite Staters and for Americans. So I fought hard to unseat the Republican incumbent, winning by the tightest margin of any sitting U.S. Senator.

But here’s the thing – Mitch McConnell doesn’t want a tough fighter in this seat.

To put it bluntly – McConnell and his dark money allies would rather have a Republican who will rubber stamp his extreme, right-wing agenda than a Senator who will fight for Granite Staters or work to find lasting, bipartisan solutions to the issues that matter most. That’s why they are spending over $53 million smearing me. 

But we’re not going to let them win, John. I’ve won tough fights before, and this time will be no different. But it’s going to take all of us. That’s why I’m asking for your support.
