Hi John,
We wanted you to be the first to know. From Monday 3rd October, ITV will be broadcasting a new drama called “The Walk In” starring Stephen Graham. It tells the very true story of how HOPE not hate thwarted a terrorist plot from far-right organisation, National Action, to murder a sitting MP.
It follows our Head of Intelligence, Matthew Collins, as he works with informant Robbie Mullen to unearth the truth behind National Action – a group the police and the Home Office believed had ceased to exist.
The Walk In reveals the dangerous but important work that HOPE not hate does to expose and tackle the far-right, and just how toxic the far-right are. It details the extreme lengths HOPE not hate goes to - from burner phones to safe houses – all to protect informants.
WATCH THE TRAILER
The Walk In covers some serious themes but it also shows just how important it is that we work together to defeat hate. None of us can do it alone, we can only do it by uniting together.
HOPE not hate’s work is supported by thousands of people up and down the country who work together to challenge hate when it appears, people like you John. Together, we stop hate taking hold in our communities, sometimes by campaigning and other times by contributing a couple of quid. Either way, we are building an unstoppable force that can drive out hate from our country.
Remember this when you watch The Walk In on Monday 3rd October, the threat of the far-right is very real - but so is our power to defeat them.
Thank you, John, for being part of this hopeful movement.
Georgie, HOPE not hate
