Susan Collins has taken hundreds of thousands of dollars in campaign contributions from the fossil fuel and oil and gas industry — including thousands from Exxon’s corporate PAC.
And two years ago today, she returned the favor by casting a critical vote on the GOP tax bill.
The law saved Exxon billions in taxes and allowed them to QUINTUPLE their profits. Meanwhile, Maine families got left behind.
It’s clear that Susan Collins stands with her rich donors and NOT with Maine families. It’s time to replace her in the Senate with someone who will fight for us.
John, we’re not just up against Susan Collins in this election. We’re also up against the fossil fuel industry and companies like Exxon, who will pay anything to maintain the status quo, where big donations can buy multi-billion dollar tax breaks.
This won’t be an easy race, but if we keep fighting, we’re going to elect Sara Gideon, a real champion for working people, to the U.S. Senate. I promise you.
