John,
It’s no secret that reproductive rights are on the ballot this year.
According to Politico, Michelle Steel is one of the most vulnerable California House Republicans due to her extreme position on choice.
Steel is wrapping up her first (and hopefully only) term in Congress, and she has already wreaked havoc -- particularly when it comes to choice.
The vast majority of California voters support protecting abortion access through the state constitution, but that didn’t stop Steel from co-sponsoring the Life at Conception Act. Her bill would overrule statewide abortion protections and would lead to a nationwide abortion ban without exceptions for rape, incest, or the woman’s life.
Steel was one of the original co-signers of the House extremists’ letter asking SCOTUS to overturn
Roe v. Wade. She also
voted against the right to access contraception and the right to travel out-of-state to seek abortion care. That has earned her an “A+” and big checks from anti-choice groups like the Susan B. Anthony List.
With ballots hitting mailboxes in 3 weeks, we think it’s important to shed light on Steel's two-faced act to her voters:
Jay Chen not only believes that women should make their own medical decisions, but he also has a strong chance of ousting an anti-choice extremist. Will you chip in $3 to make sure we have the resources to flip this swing district?
