This past Saturday, Trump held a deeply disturbing rally in Ohio for aspiring 147 ally and Senate candidate J.D. Vance.

The rally was filled with the usual Trump demagoguery. But it also contained an unhinged rant about the slew of investigations he’s facing from the Department of Justice, January 6th Committee, and prosecutors from across the country. By our last count, he’s facing up to 32 investigations total.

This is the bargain Trump is making with The 147 and their Congressional allies. I will support you, fundraise for you, and actively campaign for you. But in return, you will shut down every investigation if you take back by Congress.

The stakes are as high as they have been in our nation’s history. If we lose our Congressional majorities, Trump will remain forever above the law. And a precedent will be set in our country that will undermine democracy and justice forever.
