Republicans in Congress just introduced a national abortion ban that would strip away reproductive rights in all 50 states. It’s clear that our fundamental reproductive rights are actively in danger.

We’re working in more than 20 states to fight back against state-level attacks on reproductive rights – including the win in Kansas. But this announcement shows that Republicans aren’t letting up, and we can’t either.

This national abortion ban is a severe one. It would impose heavy restrictions and supersede state laws on access to abortion.

It’s clear far-right Republicans aren’t content with knocking down Roe v. Wade and enacting dozens of restrictive laws in many states. They want to control our bodies in all 50 states.

This stunt in Congress is the latest, clearest signal of extreme MAGA Republicans’ intent to criminalize reproductive freedom, and the fact that they’re pushing for all 50 states and hoping to arrest doctors for providing basic care proves that given the chance, Republicans will work to pass the most draconian bills possible.

Now, we have to fight on two fronts – we have to push back against state laws and fight like hell to make sure Republicans don’t control Congress.
