John - I’m Congressman Marc Veasey, and I am going to tell you how we plan to flip Texas blue in 2020. In Congress, I am focused on creating jobs, improving public education, fighting for immigration reform, and ensuring access to quality healthcare and women’s reproductive rights. But in order to bring home results for working Texas families, we need to elect Democrats up and down the ballot. That’s why I’m working with Team Fair and Square to flip the Texas House Blue in 2020 and make sure Democrats have a seat at the table for redistricting in 2021. They’ve used it as a tool to punish Texas Democrats who threaten their hold on the state - including my mentor, Rep. Martin Frost. That’s because when push comes to shove, Texas Republicans are more interested in gaming the system for their own benefit than making sure everyone gets a fair say.
