Jack, when the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade, we knew that wouldn’t be enough for Republicans, and Lindsey Graham just proved us right. He introduced a national abortion ban in the Senate—and Marco Rubio immediately signed on as a co-sponsor.
Rubio is in a closely-watched race for his Senate seat in Florida against Rep. Val Demings. Why he would jump to attach himself to such controversial and disastrous legislation less than two months before an election is beyond me—but we can use his reckless drive to ban abortion at whatever cost to our advantage.
Republicans did this to themselves. Now, we can use this moment to organize and win. We must use the outrage over this bill to get resources to our Florida partners on the ground working to empower and mobilize voters.
Daily Kos is raising money for Florida organizations that are building a multi-cultural, multilingual, and multi-generational movement in the Sunshine State. Your donation can help them turn out voters this November and build infrastructure for years to come.

Donating to help build Florida’s progressive infrastructure won’t just help defeat Marco Rubio. Notorious anti-abortion Gov. Ron DeSantis is also up for re-election.
DeSantis’ extremely dangerous brand of ultra-right-wing conservatism is propelling him higher and higher through the Republican party. He must be stopped before another term as governor gives him even more legitimacy—and even more opportunities to further ban abortion.
Abortion is on the ballot in more than one race in Florida this November, and the state organizations we’re supporting this year know it. A contribution of any amount that is meaningful to you will go a long way toward ensuring these groups can reach as many voters as possible ahead of the midterms.
Jack, can we count on you to donate to organizations in Florida working tirelessly to educate, empower, and mobilize voters?
