Generation Equality is for every person, no matter their gender, hometown, age, sexual preference, race or religion. It’s about achieving equal rights and opportunities for all women and girls.

As 2019 comes to a close, we’re looking ahead to a landmark year for women’s rights and gender equality. In 2020, we’ll celebrate not only the 25th anniversary of the Beijing Platform for Action, but also UN Women’s and the Women Empowerment Principles’ 10th birthday, five years since the adoption of the Sustainable Development goals, and the 20th anniversary of UN Security Council resolution 1325 on women, peace and security. All of these moments are opportunities to move the needle closer to gender equality.
