Ever since the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade, voters across the country have overwhelmingly responded to protect reproductive freedom and reject anti-abortion policies and candidates.
We have the chance to do the same here in California this November, when reproductive freedom will be on the ballot in the form of Proposition 1.
Proposition 1 will amend our state constitution to prohibit the state from interfering with or denying reproductive freedom — a critical measure since the constitutional right to an abortion is no longer protected at the federal level.
Abortion access is popular and broadly supported by Americans regardless of political affiliation — and it’s time for us to prove at the ballot box it in California.
This is our chance to make a bold statement and take a stand for access to abortion care in our state.
