Dear friend,

The New York Times just published an editorial on chlorpyrifos titled “How Has This Pesticide Not Been Banned?” Our answer: Because Trump’s EPA is fighting for industry profits instead of your health.

EWG is fighting for you, but we need your help. More than 7,000 supporters have already weighed in on chlorphyrifos, but I don’t see your response. We need to capitalize on this momentum. Can we count on you to weigh in before our 11:59 p.m. deadline tonight?

TAKE THE SURVEY: Should the U.S. ban brain-damaging chlorpyrifos?

Remember, chlorpyrifos can cause brain damage in kids even at incredibly low levels of exposure. The EU and the states of California and New York have already banned chlorpyrifos. But Trump’s EPA is still protecting this dangerous chemical.

Thanks for your feedback, friend.

Two HUGE developments: The E.U. and the state of New York just announced their plans to BAN chlorpyrifos, a neurotoxic pesticide.

Chlorpyrifos can cause brain damage in kids, even at incredibly low levels of exposure. Earlier this year, the EU determined there is NO safe level for chlorpyrifos. But Trump’s EPA is still protecting this dangerous chemical.

The EPA was poised to ban the pesticide, but in March 2017, the Trump EPA vacated the ban at the request of the pesticide industry. It’s time for the federal government to stop protecting the pesticide industry and start protecting public health.

EWG is taking on the pesticide industry, but we need your help. We need 4,364 of our top supporters to take our quick survey before 11:59 p.m. to help us get chlorpyrifos out of our food. Your response will help us formulate our plans for 2020.
