There are five bills awaiting California Governor Newsom’s signature that would help make CA the progressive leader it can be. These bills cover various topics from immigration to sexual assault to pollution.

These bills should not go unsigned, but if they do, it will be on the legislature to override Governor Newsom’s silent vetoes. California has a Democratic supermajority and it’s on them to lead our country and demonstrate to purple and red states what is possible.

If blue states don’t lead the way, campaigns in crucial battleground states won’t be able to point to examples of successful policy.

We hope Governor Newsom decides to lead the way.
