Friend, I have some bad news:

After months of trailing Marco Rubio in the polls, we finally closed the gap: Two polls last month had Rubio and me TIED.

But just as I secured the OFFICIAL Democratic nomination for Florida's U.S. Senate race, Rubio and the GOP began bombarding me with nonstop attack ads – including a new $1.3 MILLION ad buy from Rubio himself. And their attacks are working: I'm now trailing by 1 POINT in the race that will decide Senate control. 

So please, will you give $5 or more to make sure I have the resources to fight back against these new attacks ahead of my must-hit midnight fundraising goal?

Friend, Rubio and the rest of the GOP know that if I win in Florida, Democrats are virtually guaranteed to maintain Senate control. And if the most recent polls prove anything, it's that their latest attacks are resonating with voters.

This is a MASSIVE setback, but we can still turn this around. Unfortunately, time is running out: Right now, the GOP is beginning to outspend me in key areas of Florida, and I urgently need more resources to fight back against their deceitful attack ads and misinformation to pull ahead in this race.
