After more than a year of bipartisan pressure, the Biden administration finally announced what we knew all along: Grand Junction is the “ideal location” for the Bureau of Land Management’s Western Headquarters.
From the moment I took office, I led a comprehensive effort to keep a significant Bureau of Land Management presence in Grand Junction and fight extremist environmentalist efforts to move all these jobs and agency leadership positions back to the Swamp—thousands of miles away from the lands they manage. From helping convince Department of the Interior Secretary Deb Haaland to visit Grand Junction to passing an amendment with unanimous, bipartisan support, I pulled out all the stops for this successful effort. This wouldn’t have happened without bipartisan collaboration and strong grassroots support. The Western Headquarters’ 56 jobs and 70 other good-paying Bureau of Land Management jobs that we were able to keep in Grand Junction is a major victory for the Third District.

During the Conversation With Your Congresswoman, I asked three poll questions. As promised, here are the results:

Recently, our nation mourned for all those lost on September 11, 2001. We can never forget the lives lost, and we must remain vigilant to ensure something so terrible never again happens in America.
Sadly, Biden’s policies have made a mockery of this tragedy. Earlier this year, Biden decided to release 9/11 co-conspirator Mohammed al-Qahtani from Guantanamo to Saudi Arabia to receive “mental health treatment.” Biden’s soft-on-terrorism policies have already had disastrous effects, with multiple members of the Taliban-led Afghanistan “government” being former Guantanamo detainees. I put Americans first, not terrorists, so I introduced the No Transferring GITMO Terrorists to America Act to prevent Biden from moving terrorists out of GITMO and into federal prisons in our backyard.

Before Labor Day, I sent a letter to Biden on behalf of hard-working Americans in the workforce. These responsible Americans paid off their student debt, worked their way through college, or chose a career path that did not require student debt—but Biden is now forcing them to pay off other people’s loans.
My letter to Biden called him out on his unconstitutional plan to go beyond his statutory authority and unilaterally use tax dollars to pay off student loans. The American people see through Biden’s student loan bailout and know it is nothing short of an election year bribe. The economy is crumbling, inflation is out of control, the border is open, fentanyl deaths are going up, and crime rates are skyrocketing—Biden has nothing to run on, so he has resorted to buying votes.

I had a great meeting with the Greater Pueblo Chamber of Commerce. Small businesses are the backbone of our economy. I enjoyed talking with fellow entrepreneurs and building partnerships to support them in Congress. The best economic stimulus is a job, and these small businesses are working hard to uplift the Pueblo community and reinvest in the next generation. Great work!

Democrats’ Green New Deal policies are trying to turn Colorado into California. Just days after California announced that it would be banning gas-powered cars, it also begged Californians not to charge their electric cars since their electric grid is failing. California’s energy crisis is totally self-inflicted and unnecessary. In America, we produce some of the cleanest energy in the world—if only Democrats would let us use it!
I’m proud to stand with the American roughneck instead of OPEC. We have to increase American energy production to get gas prices back down to $2 a gallon like they were in 2020, which is why I introduced the Fueling American Prosperity Act to resume energy leasing and expedite bureaucratic delays. As the global energy market crumbles, now is the time for American energy leadership.

This past month, my office mailed out an important update detailing some of the accomplishments we have gotten done for Colorado. Take a look here!

Fox News, Lauren Boebert: We know how the 'Department of Injustice' feels about conservative Americans “I have seen exactly what this Department of Injustice is capable of recently, and how they feel about conservative Americans, how they feel about moms and dads attending school board meetings. And it goes so much more beyond that...I believe in securing the southern border, reducing government spending, securing American energy, protecting our peace through strength, protecting women and our children, and protecting American greatness.”
CPR News, BLM Director lays out plan for Grand Junction office “The Bureau of Land Management ‘will staff the Grand Junction office to full capacity.’ The Director also hinted that further growth could be possible. It was welcome news to members of Colorado’s congressional delegation, who have been advocating for a continued BLM presence in Grand Junction, as many expected the Biden administration to move the headquarters back to Washington, D.C….The area’s congresswoman Lauren Boebert said in a statement she was ‘thrilled’ by the news. ‘This wouldn’t have happened without bipartisan collaboration and strong grassroots support. The Western Headquarters’ jobs we were able to keep in the community is a victory for the Third District,’ she said.”
Fox21, Local Politicians’ Statements on the Anniversary of 9/11 “Congresswoman Lauren Boebert talked about the perseverance of the American people, ‘On this solemn day, we remember the thousands of lives lost in New York, Washington DC, and Pennsylvania 21 years ago. We can never forget & never let our American spirit of strength, freedom & perseverance be broken!’”
The Epoch Times, Sheriff: Fentanyl Should Be Classified as ‘Weapon of Mass Destruction’ “Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-Colo.) recently introduced a bill to classify the powerful synthetic opioid as a weapon of mass destruction. ‘Fentanyl is America’s silent killer and is now the leading cause of death for Americans aged 18 to 45,’ she told The Hill in June. ‘The saddest thing about the fentanyl crisis is that it is preventable.’”
Daily Caller, ‘Totalitarian’ — House Republicans Call On DC Mayor Bowser To Drop Vaccine Mandate For Schools “A group of House Republicans led by Texas Rep. Louie Gohmert sent a letter Thursday to Democratic Washington, D.C., Mayor Muriel Bowser calling on her to drop the vaccine mandate she put in place for all students over the age of 12 that will go into effect in 2023. In the letter, first obtained by the Daily Caller, Gohmert and eleven other lawmakers slam Bowser, arguing that the mandate is unconstitutional and will have a negative impact on the education of children in the nation’s capital.”
