AUSTIN ? Tomorrow, on National Voter Registration Day, Texas Secretary of State John Scott will hold a press conference to share details on the statewide voter education campaign ahead of the November 2022 General Election.
?VoteReady? is a?statewide campaign?to educate voters about the?7 approved forms of photo ID that can be used to vote?and what to do if a voter does not possess and cannot reasonably obtain one of those 7 IDs. The campaign also aims to educate voters who are eligible to vote by mail about the?ID requirements for casting a mail-in ballot. The statewide ?VoteReady? campaign includes a grassroots outreach tour, paid advertising and social media.
The?grassroots interactive elements of the voter education campaign?will be on display at the news conference, including the mobile digital truck that is?currently touring across the State of Texas. The campaign?s brand ambassadors and Secretary Scott will also be on-site to speak with members of the public and press about the campaign.
