Tomorrow is National Voter Registration Day!
Some states require voters to be registered up to a month before the election, which means your voter registration deadline may be just around the corner.
Take a few moments to check your voter registration status NOW so you can vote in November wherever you are.
You can easily check your status on Vote.org [[link removed]] or visit your state’s Secretary of State website to check your registration status directly with state officials.
One of our team members did it, and confirmed her registration status in less than one minute thanks to Vote.org.

Jackson shows why we need a Green New Deal for Cities
This is what the household water in Jackson, Mississippi, looked like for the last two months:

The crisis left the majority-Black city of nearly 200,000 residents without clean, running water. This is water folks depend on for drinking, cooking, bathing, and washing clothes and dishes – and it’s been completely unusable for nearly two months.
To understand what’s happened in Jackson, and what we need to do about it, we need to understand that this crisis did not start in July, or even 2021 when “boil water notices” were first on the rise. It was decades in the making.

The current crisis erupted when the city was hit by devastating floods – the kind of extreme weather events that are increasing in frequency and severity under the climate crisis.
Jackson is one of thousands of communities of color particularly vulnerable to the climate crisis because of decades of neglect and divestment.
That’s why BNC Reps. Cori Bush, AOC, and Jamaal Bowman introduced the Green New Deal for Cities last year.
We’ve got the chance to grow progressive power and DOUBLE the number of BNC representatives in office this November. Can you pitch in $25 today to reelect all three of them and send even MORE climate champions to Congress in November? [[link removed]]

Welcome to the slate Greg Casar!
Last week we unveiled our newest member of the slate, Greg Casar!
Greg is a labor organizer and former Austin City Councilman running for the open seat in TX-35 – winning on progressive values deep in the heart of Texas.
This majority-minority district where 75% of the population is non-White – overwhelmingly Latino – has never been represented by a person of color.
But we’re going to change that this year.

Brand New Congress is thrilled to partner with Greg and bring bold, progressive representation to Texas.
If you didn’t have a chance to welcome Greg to the slate, please consider splitting a contribution between Brand New Congress and his historic campaign now.

Since 2016 BNC has led the way in advancing popular policies like Medicare for All and the Green New Deal and electing bold progressive fighters. We recruited and elected AOC in 2018 and Cori Bush in 2020. With seven BNC Reps currently in office [[link removed]] , we are growing progressive power in Congress.
This November we’re working to flip multiple red seats, fill open seats with bold progressives, and elect our first BNC Senator by defeating Rand Paul.
Pitch in today and join us as we take over Congress and return power to the people.
