75 years of Bonegilla Migrant Reception and Training Centre
November 28, 2022 marks 75 years since the site began and the first arrivals' ID cards mark this date as their arrival in Fremantle, Australia.
Although they didn’t actually arrive at the Bonegilla Reception and Training Centre until early December, an event to celebrate this milestone will be held from November 21 to November 28, 2022.
The full program will be released with tickets on sale late October.
The event will feature an author talk and writing workshop with author of The Last of the Bonegilla Girls, Victoria Purman, site tours, food workshops, live music, children's activities, evening activities on and offsite and an exhibition launch to name a few.
