Our economy and inflation continue to be the nation's most significant issues. Inflation rose again in August, increasing 8.3% over the past year. The price of gasoline, groceries, electricity, etc., are at record highs, crushing disposable income and stealing over a month in pay from American families. The roots of this crisis are Biden's tax-and-spend agenda, mixed with their anti-domestic energy policies.







We can fix this! We need to unleash American energy independence and put the brakes on reckless spending. Unfortunately, the Biden-Democrat policies are also rattling the stock market, jeopardizing the pension funds and retirement accounts on which our seniors depend. No matter how Biden, Democrats, and the mainstream media spin it, Pennsylvania families and small businesses are hurting. To add insult to injury, Democrats celebrated the biggest hoax of all at the White House: the so-called Inflation Reduction Act. Democrats may be celebrating in Washington, but our constituents are not celebrating back home.?



An alarming amount of time, money, and attention is directed toward manufacturing "fake news." For example, Good Information, Inc. is an organization funded by George Soros and other liberal funders. The stated goal of Good Information, Inc. is "to cut through the echo chambers with fact-based information." However, according to a post last night, Good Information, Inc. solicited a person to post a video hitting President Trump, MAGA, and January 6. Good Information, Inc. provided the user with specific talking points and stated the goal was to motivate anti-Trump voters to cast ballots in the midterm. Extremely honored to receive The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) "Guardian of Small Business Award." It is the NFIB's most prestigious legislative award and is presented to lawmakers who vote consistently with small businesses on the key issues identified by small business owners. As a member of the House Committee on Small Business, I have listened carefully to the concerns of my constituents who operate small businesses and voted to protect their interests. I have also spent time in the 9th Congressional District with those who the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic have deeply impacted. Those same people are further affected by inflationary pressures, supply chain problems and energy costs. I am honored to receive this award and look forward to ensuring that the concerns of Main Street are represented in Congress. Joining me in the photo is Brad Close, NFIB President and CEO.







I was invited to speak at the Independence Through Enhancement of Medicare and Medicaid (ITEM) Coalition congressional briefing in Washington. We discussed Medicare coverage of power seat elevation and standing systems for people with mobility disabilities. The group's mission is to raise awareness and build support for policies that enhance access to assistive devices, technologies, and related services for people with disabilities and chronic conditions.







Last Sunday was 9/11, and?we attended State Rep Tina Pickett's annual picnic in Bradford County, where many good friends joined us. The special guest speaker was Sergeant Major (Retired) Darryl Jannone. He was at the Pentagon on 9-11 and shared a meaningful and touching story.







IN NEWS YOU WON'T HEAR IN THE MAINSTREAM MEDIA: As Biden and his Democrat colleagues continue to insist the border is "secure," ask them about this statistic.



- Over 850,000 "gotaways" have illegally crossed the border and escaped into the U.S since Biden took office.





- Experts say that is a?conservative estimate <[link removed]>. Further, that number does not even include the?50,000 illegal immigrants <[link removed]>?who received "Notices to Report" who disappeared, the?50,000 immigration cases that have been dropped <[link removed]>?because the Biden administration did not file paperwork or the?tens of thousands <[link removed]>?who have been caught and released.





- Among the devastating impacts of Biden's open border is the fentanyl crisis. Biden's DEA says Mexican cartels are smuggling fentanyl into the U.S. and killing Americans at "record rates <[link removed]>."



Any discussion or reporting on the border should mention these facts. The Biden administration has failed on illegal immigration, just as they have on the economy, energy, and many other areas.



Regarding the border, Democrats are far more enraged by 50 illegal immigrants arriving in Martha's Vineyard than the several hundred <[link removed]>?illegal immigrants forced to?shelter under a bridge. Meanwhile,? <[link removed]>the city of El Paso, CBP agents, and local NGOs are completely overwhelmed by the record influx of illegal immigrants.



One thing is clear, Democrats and liberals don't like it when illegal immigrants are bussed or flown to their areas. An NBC reporter <[link removed]> even released a tweet (since deleted) that compared migrants to "trash." So apparently, Illegal immigration is only a problem when it shows up in the very affluent liberal sections of the nation.

The scenes from El Paso are just some of the horrifying images from the?17-month-long <[link removed]>?Biden border crisis. Based on the?liberal meltdown <[link removed]> this week, however, it's clear Democrats care more about Martha's Vineyard, which tells you everything you need to know.





Worse yet, the Biden administration, supported by the House and Senate Democrats, has been facilitating "secret" flights... large 737s filled to capacity, landing in Wilkes/Barre Scranton in the middle of the night... Lehigh, Harrisburg and White Plains, NY airports. Not only did I get first-hand accounts of the chaos surrounding the landing and secretive busing of the illegals, but upon demanding a meeting of HHS and the Department of Homeland Security, they lied to me on several questions. I then introduced a bill requiring transparency for such flights. Not one Democrat would sign on to the bill.



Meanwhile, every Republican I asked cosponsored the legislation. We had nearly 1000 illegals flown into our area, and the so-called media, except FOX, Newsmax and the Bob Cordero Show on WILK, refused even to acknowledge the flights. The Left's hypocrisy has hit a new low, and it's shameful their terrible policies have made our border virtually open. Unfortunately, on today's morning shows, they shamelessly state we are using people as stunts and don't want the border closed. They believe Republicans want this as an issue they can use for the election. Folks, this is the ultimate shameless gaslight... we had the border under control less than two years ago. Today, it is literally ten times worse. We must vote this looney left out on Election Day, November 8. Their policies are destructive, and they will continue to make things worse. All the while, they will blame everybody else, especially Republicans. This is a tactic they and the mainstream media aggressively execute... blame Republicans for what they are guilty of.



Meanwhile, our open border policies are allowing the cartels to get rich. As I write this message, Americans are dying by the tens of thousands, and people coming across are dying by the hundreds. Our border policy is a tragedy.. and we know how to fix it. But, unfortunately, Biden Democrats refuse to Wake Up and Woke Down. November 8 cannot come soon enough.



There is so much at stake on Election Day. It's just 50 days away. First, we must back U.S. Congress and retire Speaker Nancy Pelosi once and for all. Next, we must elect Dr. Oz to the U.S. Senate and Doug Mastriano to the Governor's office. Finally, we must re-elect strong Republican majorities in Harrisburg. Electing Republicans is our path to restoring an agenda that puts both America and Pennsylvania First. So please tell your family, friends, and neighbors to get out and vote. It's so critical.?
